Bonjour!

We had another long night last night. I was up with Danny from 12:50 to 2:30. Then, Joe took over from 2:30 to 4:30. I guess Danny still has his nights and days confused; he sleeps most of the day.

Joe taught his class this morning. He finished up his notes. Finals are next week.

This morning, I did some work on the computer. Danny was awake, but he was content to lie in his bed and look around. Gilbert had to keep checking on Danny. He peeks through the corner of the bed where the bumper pad ends. Gilbert didn’t think that Danny needed to be covered up. So, he pulled the blanket out between the bars of the bed.

We all tried to take a nap this afternoon. Just as I went to sleep, Danny woke up. Just as Joe went to sleep, it started raining. He remembered that the windows in the vehicle were open. He went to close those. Then, the rain woke Gilbert up. Danny and I actually did get a nap in after all of that.

I got supper ready before the power went off. It went off right at 6:00 this evening. Two of our supporting churches have given the money for us to purchase a generator that will run our whole house. We should be able to get the generator and get it all hooked up within the next couple weeks. That will be a blessing!

Joe had the kerosene lamps all ready tonight before the lights went out. This evening, he made cornbread for our dressing for Thursday while I did the dishes. (We have invited two families over for Thanksgiving – the Davises and the Wideners.) Gilbert had a great time playing with his shadow on the wall. He kept trying to kiss his shadow. It was cute.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert and Danny
