The power went off at 2:30 this morning. Thankfully we had battery powered fans to get us through the night. Once I had gotten up for the day, I read a few more chapters of Judges and got ready for the day. Then, I headed down to eat some breakfast.

Preserving the Legacy of Faithful Missionaries

The Missionary on Fire podcast features interviews with veteran missionaries, classic sermons from the field, and stories of God’s faithfulness across generations. If you love the heart behind these stories, you will love the podcast. New episodes regularly.

When Bro. Ruckman was ready, Bro. Ruckman, Prince, and I were out the door by 9:30. From the house, we headed over to the church. Next, we drove to the tile store and bought more tile for the projects at the church. After we had bought and unloaded the tile, we headed over to the eye doctor for Prince’s appointment. He had surgery to remove cataracts one year ago, and there was hope that he would be able to one day see clearly again. Unfortunately, things did not go according to plan, and the cataracts are starting to grow back. The doctor recommended that Prince learn as much as he can before he loses all sight.

After the appointment, we did some shopping at multiple grocery stores and markets. I got pizza for us for lunch. When we got home, the power was still off; so, we turned the generator on. The power did not come back on for another hour or two, but thankfully it is io now. We had a total of about 16 hours with no power; so, we are glad to have it back.

After we had supper, I headed up for a shower, just in case the power does not stay on long. I am now about to go to sleep after a hot, long day.

That is such sad news about Prince’s eyes. We are so spoiled. Our utilitis are usually so dependable. I worked on that train today. I still have more details. Jayne is painting a Texas Ranger. I want to get my paintings done by the end of the month.
