This morning, I woke up at 7:30. After getting up, I ate breakfast, put the dog in her kennel, and got ready for church. Once I was ready, I locked up and walked to Mpatado. Once I got there, I realized I had forgotten my Jr. church lesson; so, I walked all the way back to the house. I was able to get the lesson; and as I started walking back to Mpatado, the tro-tro with all of the church kids picked me up. We got to church one minute early this Sunday, even though the driver stopped to get gas on the way.
We had great services. I really enjoyed teaching the kids about David’s Kindness today. Once everything was done, I made sure all the kids were loaded up; then the driver took us back. Once I got to the house, I got a few things ready because I was going to be spending the afternoon at the Kenneys’ house. After a little bit, Pastor Kenney picked me up. Mrs. Tonya prepared a delicious meal and gave me the leftovers, which is greatly appreciated. While I was at the Kenneys’ house, Pastor Dare and his wife very kindly cleaned the house up, and Mrs. Sally even made a delicious meal for me to have when I got home from church. (When I was leaving the house to go to the Kenneys’ house, I accidentally locked my keys in the house and would not have had any way of getting back in had I not given my spare keys to Pastor Dare yesterday. The Lord really knows what He is doing!!!)
After a very nice, restful afternoon at the Kenneys’ house, they drove me to church. We had a great choir practice, and I think we could have sung the song we have been practicing tonight, but we decided to wait until next Sunday. We had a great service!!! After the service, we were having a bit of trouble catching a taxi to drive me home; so, I called Pastor Kenney who kindly drove to pick me up.
Once I got the house, I enjoyed the delicious meal Mrs. Sally had made. I was enjoying it so much that I accidentally ate a bit too much. I am feeling a bit miserable right now, but the food tasted great. I am now in my room typing the blog. Once I am done, I am off to get cleaned up. It has been a very hot day, and I have sweated most of the day. The only time I was not sweating was when I was in the air conditioning.
