Visa Extension and Sermon

This morning, I woke up at 7:00 or so. I got ready to go with Pastor Prince to get my visa extension. I had some muffins for breakfast and then got my water and everything else ready.

Pastor Prince picked me up in his taxi at 8:30 A.M. I had to get a passport picture taken; then, we were able to go into the office. I had to fill out a form and then pay. I was sixteen days late; so they charged me five cedis per day, which was eighty cedis (about $8.00), which is not too bad. I also paid fifty cedis for each month of the extension. The longest you are allowed to extend it at once is three months; so I also paid the 150 cedis (about $15). After we sat in the office for a while waiting on the change and a receipt, we were finally able to go.

Once Pastor Prince dropped me off at the house, I went inside and did some work on my sermon. I had done all the hard work yesterday; so, all that was left today was some fine tuning. I rested and prepared most of the afternoon.

Once it was about time for me to go, I ate a quick snack because I did not feel like making anything. I was able to walk to the junction and get a ride for three cedis to the church. Once I got there, I planned on doing a little bit of reviewing. But I was swarmed by kids; so, I did not get much of that done. I think the message went pretty well. If you want to watch it, you can find it on my Facebook page; I live-streamed it. After the service, I was able to catch a taxi and head home.

I had the taxi drop me off at the junction; then, I started walking home. On my way home, I saw a little shop that makes spaghetti. Since I had only had a little snack before church, I was pretty hungry. Once I got my food, I finished my walk to the house. When I got inside, I sat down and enjoyed my meal. I am now in my room finishing up the blog and then heading off to get cleaned up after a long day.

  1. I really enjoyed watching your message! I was painting in the Hardware Store and listening at the same time. I could understand a lot of the Fante announcements and translation too. I had fun!
