A Busy Day!!!

This morning, I woke up at 7:45. I then read my Bible and got ready for the day. Once I was ready, I went downstairs for breakfast. Mrs. Angie had made oatmeal and toast. Everything was good!!! After breakfast, I went back up to my room for a while.

While I was in my room, I started working on a computer project until Bro. Ruckman told me some guys were almost here to go with me on village evangelism. Once they arrived, we stamped some tracts and John and Romans; then, we were off. We had a good time and were able to have several good conversations with people. We even found a few people who are willing to come to church if we can get them a ride.

After three hours of evangelism in the heat of the day, it was nice to get back to the house to have some lunch and to cool off. After lunch, I was able to get a cat nap before we left for the church at 4:15 P.M. We were able to have several of the church kids come for a youth activity; we basically played soccer the entire time.

After some rounds of soccer, Bro. Ruckman had a short devotional with all the kids. At the end of it, one of the young girls got saved!!! A few of the kids got to witness her getting saved. I wanted to listen in, but so many kids wanted to be around me; so, I had to go away so that the young girl would be able to stay focused and understand the meaning of salvation.

Once we finished at the church, we headed home. We got to the house around 8:00 P.M. and ate a delicious meal which Mrs. Angie had prepared. After the meal, we sat in the living room for a few minutes. I was able to talk to my brother for a few minutes; then, I headed up to my room for the night. I am currently typing the blog. Once I am finished, I will be off to get cleaned up for the evening; then, I will be headed to bed.

  1. So glad to hear about the girl getting saved. You’ve sure had another busy day. It was raining here this morning so most of us slept in. That was so nice! Have a good Saturday. Oh, I forgot to tell you that they are butchering the pigs tonight. Love you!

  2. I am glad that the Ruckmans are taking good care of you and feeding you well. Village evangelism is fun and a bit exhausting, especially when a white person goes to the village! I’m sure they are thrilled to hear you greet them in Fante. They always laughed when we spoke Fante because they do not hear many white people speak it.
