Bonjour,
Joe took the kids to school. Then, he went to get the windshield wiper fixed. It was just a loose screw. While he was there, he decided to get an oil change. Instead of just doing the oil change, they did the 60,000 kilometer tune-up. So, Joe was there a lot longer than he thought he would be. When he finished there, it was time to pick the kids up from school.
The power was off for a couple hours this morning. I called the electric company. They said that they were replacing our transformer. We have had a temporary transformer on wheels, and they finally put a new transformer in up on the pole. Maybe that will make a difference. I only got one load of laundry done with all of the power outages. I did some cleaning around the house.
Bonnie had to go to the office twice today. The teacher told her not to "remove" her shoes. We aren't sure if Bonnie knew what the word "remove" meant before today. After a while, she had to go back to the office for "removing" her shoes. When she was telling me about it, she had figured it out. She said, "Mom, they say 'remove' instead of 'take off' like you say." Then, she said, "I'm not going to remove my shoes or take them off during school any more. And my teacher said never, ever to wear those green shoes to school again."
The kids played with the Luther kids after school. Joe helped Charlie put chicken wire around the swimming pool for a temporary fence. I talked to Julie for a little while before heading home to start on supper.
Julie gave us a train game. None of the kids had homework tonight. So, I played the game with them after supper.
It must have been a stomach bug that Bonnie had on Friday night because Gilbert is throwing up now. When he went to bed, he said that he felt like he was going to puke. A little later, I heard a loud noise coming from their bedroom. He must have tried to get to the door while puking because puke was everywhere. The strange thing was that he was still asleep and was puking in his sleep.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
