Bonjour,

Joe spent the whole day at the mechanic.  They made several trips to the machine shop at the university across the street from the mechanic to fabricate their own parts.  After all of that, Joe drove the vehicle home about 7:30.  Just as he pulled into the driveway, the whole top of the radiator blew off.  Joe is a bit discouraged.

We did school this morning.  After lunch, the kids rested but never went to sleep.  They played outside with a neighbor boy for a while.  Then, they went up to the Luthers’ house for a while.

When Joe puts a movie in, he has the boys guess which one it is.  Danny said, “Is it Tyly Tober?”  He meant Toby Tyler, but he kept saying it that way.  Toby Tyler is one of Grandma’s favorites.

Gilbert had a great question today. Out of the blue, he asked, “In winter time, is it cold inside your stomach?”  We asked him what he was talking about.  He said, “Well, the fog comes out your mouth; so, is it cold inside your stomach?”  He definitely hasn’t seen that here in Africa.  I don’t know what made him think of that.

This evening, the kids did some drawing and coloring with paper and books that they got in the package yesterday.  They had to go to bed early since they didn’t take a nap.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
