Ghana Field Journal — Missions With the Consfords

Bonjour, Today we continued the cleaning process. I got the kids involved too. I had set aside the boys’ box of tools and Bonnie’s box of dishes so…
Joe went visiting. Stephen is back in town for the holidays. He went visiting with Joe today. Dan was sick.
We started out with twenty-five for Bible Club and ended up with forty-two before it was over. No one wanted to leave when it was time to go home today.
After naps, we went into town. We got a few things at the grocery store and then went out to eat. On our way home, the traffic was crazy. We had a couple near misses. As we got closer to home, we noticed that the power was off. When we got to our road, it was blocked with a truck that was broken down. We sat and waited for about thirty minutes. Danny started crying because he thought we would never get home. Gilbert clapped when the traffic started moving.

When we got home, the power was off. Joe had fun trying to find all of the right keys to unlock the locks to get inside. Then, he fired up the generator. The power just came back on a few minutes ago. We think that they may be starting “load shedding” again because the power has been going off every other night around the same time and coming back on a few hours later.
Bonnie wanted us all to sit on the couch so that she could give us “presents.” She gave each of the boys a stack of books, and I got a puzzle. We played a few rounds of Skipbo Junior and read a couple books before bed time.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
