Bonjour,
Gilbert woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me that he felt like he was going to puke because it was too hot in his room. I told him to bring his pillow and sleep on our floor. When he got up this morning, he did puke, and he had a low-grade fever. He has had a slight fever off and on throughout the day. Danny and Bonnie both have runny noses but no fever. We didn't do school today since the scholars were feeling under the weather. I worked on sorting through the stuff that Joe brought and finding a place for things. I still have one trunk to go. Kristine went to a village to teach a Bible class; she didn't come back until this afternoon. Joe went into town to run some errands.
After naps, I did some more work in the kitchen. The kids played on the porch for a little bit. It was killing Gilbert to stay inside all day. Danny wanted a trailer for his bike. He tried to attach his bike to Bonnie's bike. Bonnie said, "Get that string off my bike." Then, he tried to talk Gilbert into letting him use his bike for his trailer. That didn't fly either. Danny had to settle on pulling sticks behind his bike.
After supper, Joe went to church. I kept the kids at home so that we wouldn't share our germs with anyone.
I got some alphabet magnets out today for the kids to put on the fridge. Joe was spelling his name. Bonnie told him that he couldn't use the J because it was a girl color. I wasn't allowed to use the L for my name either because it was a boy color. When I give her a drink, she always makes sure it is in a girl-colored cup. She is a mess!
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
