Bonjour,
Joe left the house around 5:00 this morning. He called just before 10:00 to say that they had made it across the border.
Danny took a nap this morning. Gilbert played outside quite a bit this morning. Joe had a guy come to work in the yard today. Gilbert had a great time following him around. Gilbert came in a couple times looking for Daddy. I reminded him that Daddy took a trip.
After lunch, both boys took a nap. Gilbert woke up before Danny. I had told Gilbert that we could go play with the Litson girls after he woke up. When he stood up, he said, “Go tell Daddy Good morning?” I told him that Daddy wasn’t here. Since he couldn’t do that, the next best thing was to go play with Bo-Bo (Joanna). Danny was still asleep. We got Gilbert’s shoes on and then went to get Danny. Gilbert said, “Good morning, Baby! You want to play with Bo-Bo?”

We went for a walk with Margie, Sarah, and the girls. Then, the boys played for awhile before we headed home for supper and baths.
I talked to Joe again this evening. They got everything accomplished that they needed to do in Takoradi. They are staying at a hotel which isn’t too far from the border. They should be back tomorrow afternoon sometime. Thank you for praying for their safety; please pray for them again tomorrow as they travel.
Happy Labor Day!
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
