Bonjour,

Joe went visiting this morning. They spent most of the morning with
Lady. She had a baby about three months ago. She is very sick now.
Joe said that he didn't even recognize her. She had a high fever. The
doctors have done some tests, but they aren't sure what she has yet.

Just after Joe got home, Dan Post called and said that the fuel stations
were going to go on strike this afternoon. Joe went in to get fuel.
They said that the fuel stations were going to close at 15:00. He was
able to get the vehicle filled up.

The taxi and mini-bus strike is continuing. There is talk of the
government workers going on strike tomorrow. Some people have said that
there is talk of overthrowing the president, but most seem to think that
all of this is just over the rise in gas prices. We are staying close
to home for a few days. Please pray that this situation will be
resolved quickly.

Joe was scheduled to preach at the Anyama church tonight. He did a good
job. Lenell helped me with the children during church. Gilbert got in
trouble. I gave Bonnie to Lenell and took Gilbert out, and that upset
Danny. So, Lenell took Danny and Bonnie outside for a few minutes until
Danny calmed back down. Danny emptied the diaper bag on the floor. It
was quite an eventful church service in our row.

Joe went to pick Romeo up from Belleville after church since there
aren't any taxis right now. Bob Engelhart took us home. We stayed with
Lenell until Joe got home.

The All-Star baseball game was on. Lenell really likes baseball. So,
we invited her to come watch the end of it with us. She enjoyed that.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
