Bonjour,
We left the house about 8:00 this morning. We dropped some things off
at the Anyama church and then headed into Abidjan. We went to the
grocery store and then to the doctor. Joe got some new prescriptions
for his asthma; it seems to be doing better this morning. Bonnie got an
antibiotic for her cough and cold. Danny got some cold medicine as well.
Then, we headed to Bassam to the Posts' house. Joe brought our computer
out here so that we could send and receive e-mail. We were able to
receive some yesterday with the router across the street, but we still
couldn't send any e-mails for some reason. Our phone line is still down
because a big piece of the cable on the main line was stolen. The way
they talked yesterday, they don't know when they will be able to replace
it. A lot of people are stealing phone line to sell the copper.
We had picked up some cheddar cheese for Dan on Friday. Dan had found
Dr. Pepper and picked some up for us. What a Christmas present –
cheddar cheese and Dr. Pepper both at the same time!

Tomorrow night, the Belleville church is meeting with the Anyama church
to bring in the new year.
You may not hear from us again for a few days depending on whether the
temporary fix with the router is working or not.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
