W'apow mu e,

Joe took the kids to school.  Then, he did some work in the office this morning.  I worked on deep cleaning the kitchen today.

I was having a laundry marathon.  I had just put the third load in the washer when that phase of the electricity went off.  My marathon came to a grinding halt.  That phase came back on around supper time.  At least I got to finish that load in the washer before it soured.

When the kids got home today, they said that there is no school tomorrow.  It is the birthday of the first president of Ghana and is a holiday.  Ghana will hold their presidential elections in December.  All of the presidential candidates will be campaigning in Takoradi tomorrow.  So, it will be a good day to stay home anyway.

Gilbert said that his chair broke at school today.  He said that he leaned back, and it broke.  I don’t know if he was leaning on the back legs or just sitting back.

Danny has a sinus infection and is miserable.  He fell asleep watching TV.  Joe picked him up to carry him to bed.  Danny wasn’t sure what was happening and said, “Don’t carry me.”  Danny is almost too big to carry.  He fell asleep in the chair last night too.  I carried him to bed, and his feet were hanging down below my knees.  He is heavy!  Gilbert seems to have a cold too.

The kids helped me make brownies before supper.  After the boys helped with dishes, the kids were playing in the kitchen while I finished up.  Bonnie was the boys’ teacher.  It sounded like the boys were spending the majority of their time in the office.

Nantsew yie!
