Joe just called. The doctor prescribed some medicines and sent them home.
He said that Danny has bronchitis and possibly asthma as well. He said that if we would have waited any longer, it would have been pneumonia by this evening.
We had started Danny on an antibiotic yesterday. Danny had this same type of thing last year at this time. The doctor said that was the right antibiotic to give him. He also prescribed a liquid medicine for asthma to help open Danny’s airways. He had been wheezing and having labored breathing all night.
Joe is bringing Danny and the medicines home. Then, he is taking several people to a village that is about an hour away for a funeral. Roger’s father died a couple weeks ago. Roger worked for us for several years before recently going back to work for the electric company. Roger really wanted Joe to be there for the funeral.
