Bonjour,

Merry Christmas! We hope everyone has had a wonderful day.

This morning, we read the Christmas story in our Bible story book.
Then, we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. I was telling Gilbert last night
that it makes Jesus happy to hear us sing. Each time that he has been
singing today, he looked at me and said, "Mom, Jesus is laughing up
there." He meant that Jesus was happy because he was singing.

Then, we opened presents and then the stockings. The boys had a great
time. Danny really got into the gift opening this time. He wanted to
help everyone open their presents. He said, "I help you, Mom." Bonnie
grabbed on to the wrapping paper a time or two. When we were all done
opening gifts, Bonnie found the pile of wrapping paper. She thought
that was great fun.

While I worked on Christmas dinner, Joe took the boys outside to swim
and swing on their new swing set. They had a good time.

Lenell came over for lunch. Joe's pork roast was very good. It had a
good flavor and was very tender. Lenell brought a layer salad. I made
a potato dish, green bean casserole, deviled eggs and rolls.

Just after lunch, Joe headed to Belleville. They had some activities at
the church this afternoon. Joe took the sound system. He said that
about 300 people came. The church was divided into three teams. They
quoted verses, sang songs, and did some Bible story skits. They had a
meal and had a good time.

About 17:30, Lenell was going to leave. Since the stolen phone line has
not been replaced, we all went with her to her apartment so that we
could call the States for Christmas. Joe met us there. After we talked
to our families, we headed home.

We ate supper and watched a Christmas movie.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
