This morning after I got up, I ate breakfast. After breakfast, I worked on my sermon for a little bit and waited for the landlord to get here with his workers. They arrived around 11:15 and stayed for several hours.

I had a pretty slow day. I was able to build off of my rough outline that I made yesterday, but I still have a ways to go. I need to get it done tomorrow because I am preaching tomorrow night. The landlord and the other guys did not leave until 3:00 P.M. or so. Once they were done, we all left the house. I took a long walk to the grocery store. I did not need any groceries, but I did need some money from the ATM. Once I had gotten money, I started walking back. I ended up taking a 2.1 mile walk, which was a lot of fun and gave me something to do.

Missionary on Fire Podcast

Preserving the Legacy of Faithful Missionaries

The Missionary on Fire podcast features interviews with veteran missionaries, classic sermons from the field, and stories of God’s faithfulness across generations. If you love the heart behind these stories, you will love the podcast. New episodes regularly.

Once the landlord is done fixing things at the house, I will be able to spend some time with the local pastors and do some work at the church; but until then, I’ll just have to wait at the house. Thankfully, they should be done in the next two days or so.

Once I got back to the house, I did not do much. I was able to get the dishes washed earlier in the day; so, I did not have any chores to do. I decided to order Pizza Hut for supper; that way, I will have some food for the next few meals without cooking. Today was buy one get one free; so, I got a pretty good deal. I ate pizza in the living room with the ac going.

Once I finished up downstairs, I turned everything off, locked up, then headed upstairs for the evening. I am currently typing the blog while the water heater warms up. After I get cleaned up, I’ll be heading to bed for the night.

Love to hear from you daily. A good long walk is good for you! If you are like your Dad you will know everyone along the way. Praying for your preaching. Love you!
