Bonjour,

Someone from the phone company came this morning.  They confirmed our suspicion that part of the phone line has been stolen.  They said that they will be back out tomorrow, which is a Saturday, to fix it.  We will wait and see what happens.

Joe went into Anyama this morning.  He has all of the sound equipment in one big box now.  There is an electrician in town who is going to fix it so that everything is permanently hooked up.  That way, the only thing that will have to be hooked up each time is the speakers.

The boys have been playing with their new toys today.  We opened the puzzles today and did those a few times.  Danny wants to help, but he doesn’t want to give up the pieces to put them in the puzzle.

Bonnie is enjoying her new toys too.  The boys help her out with them.  One of them has a little mirror built in.  Gilbert likes to hold that one up so that Bonnie can see herself.

Joe came home for lunch.  Then, he headed into Abidjan to run errands.  The place that occasionally has the cheddar cheese got another shipment in.  Dan called to tell Joe.  So, Joe brought cheese home with him.  Hooray!  Joe also brought chicken strips home for supper.

Once again, we were reminded that people are praying for us.  When Joe was on his way home, he was following a semi on a two-lane road.  The semi suddenly started fish tailing and came to an abrupt stop.  The semi had hit an 18-passenger vehicle head on.  Joe reacted quickly and went in the ditch around the wreck.  He was still shaking when he got home.

After naps, the boys went out to swing for awhile.  They really like their swing set.
This evening, the boys and I took gifts over to the Engelharts.  Bob wasn’t home when we got there.  After we had been there for a few minutes, he got home.  Gilbert and Danny took Bob’s present and ran to meet him with it.  Gilbert gave the present to him.  Danny grabbed it and opened it for him while Gilbert told him what the present was.  What helpers!

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
