Bonjour,
Danny had a slight fever this morning but is feeling much better today
than he did yesterday. With malaria, one feels okay for a little bit
and then goes back to feeling lousy. So, he plays for awhile and then
says, "Hold me, Mom! I don't feel good."
Bonnie woke up with a high fever this morning. Margie kept the boys for
us so that we wouldn't have to drag Danny all over town, and we went to
the doctor.
Joe went into Anyama first to make sure that the clutch was working. He
didn't even make it down our road before it went out again. He was able
to get to the mechanic with it. He told them that he wanted them to buy
new clutch parts this time instead of trying to fix the old ones as they
have been doing.
Bob let us borrow his car to take Bonnie to the doctor. They did a
blood test on Bonnie to rule out malaria. The nurses had a hard time
finding a vein and had to try twice. Bonnie did not like that at all;
she screamed and screamed. The doctor said that she does not have
malaria, but she has a bad infection in her ears and throat. Her white
blood cell count was almost doubled due to the infection. She is on an
antibiotic and a couple other medicines.

We stopped to get a sandwich for lunch and then headed home. Bonnie
slept all the way home.
Joe found a new game for the boys today while we were walking through
the mall to go to the pharmacy to get Bonnie's medicine. The boys had
fun playing with that most of the afternoon.
The mechanic came and got Joe this afternoon. The clutch seems to be
working well now with the new parts.
Everyone is asleep for the moment; so, I'm headed to bed too. Bonnie
kept waking up last night and had a hard time going to sleep tonight.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
