Bonjour,

(Last night, Laura mentioned that at one time, this daily e-mail thing was a joint effort!  I think I can take a hint.)

This morning, Bob and Margie Engelhart  were going to take Lenell to the doctor.  Lenell’s car is at the mechanic’s place getting worked on.  I had to take Matt Litson’s car to a paint shop in Abidjan just down the road from the doctor’s office.  So, Bob dropped Lenell off at the doctor and then followed me to the paint shop.

We left there and went to the car title place.  Since Lenell has been sick, I was going to try to pick her car title up today.  The office had given us an appointment to pick it up today.   I got there, and after an hour of waiting in line, they told me the title was not ready and gave me another appointment for two weeks from today!  That was frustrating.  I went upstairs and spoke to the director about this.  He explained the problem and apologized for the inconvenience.

Bob picked me back up, and then we all went out to eat.  After we ate, we headed back home.

It rained all morning long.  Laura had an exciting day also.  Bonnie has an ear infection, and she is not a happy camper.  Danny and Gilbert both have malaria, and they are not in the greatest of moods either.  Now, Laura is coming down with the same thing as Bonnie.  Then, to top it all off, the electric company came while it was raining to change our meter to the new version.  So, Laura had to chain the dogs up in the pouring down rain!  She called me, and she was not happy!  Gilbert said, “It will be okay, Mom!”

Danny was upset when Joe left this morning.  Danny couldn’t figure out where Daddy had gone.  Our vehicle was still in the driveway; so, Danny was convinced that Daddy was still outside somewhere.  He stood outside yelling, “Where you are, Dad?”  I finally had to call Joe and let Danny talk to him so that he would believe that Joe was gone.

Gilbert is our new “answering service.”  He likes to answer the phone.  The first time that he answered, he just said, “Who is it?”  We have been working on it.  Now, he says, “Hello, who’s calling please?” when he remembers.  : )

Bonnie was a little more perky today, but she still doesn’t feel very well.  The boys both have their ups and downs with malaria.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
