W'apow mu e,
We got up early and took Lo to the Takoradi airport. She had to report between the hours of 06:30 and 07:20. We arrived in the parking lot of the airport at 06:28. You know us, always a little early. We sat in the car for a little while and the kids entertained us with great ideas for mom to try while she is in the U.S. Bonnie said, "If you can find me a wallet, or even a small toy, but a wallet for sure, then I will be so happy!"We said good-by and I was expecting a tearful departure, but the kids said, "Let's go dad! We have a big day ahead and all mom is going to do is ride on an old airplane!"
We went to a hotel to eat breakfast. We ate breakfast with six US Navy Seabees! The kids really enjoyed being around them! They wanted to be sure to thank the Seabees for building and fighting for our country! I think the Seabees enjoyed being around the kids too. They have been out of the States for about six months. I have an uncle that retired as a Master Cheif in the Seabees. The kids noticed the insignia on their uniform right away and said "Uncle Ronnie has a hat with that same bug!"
We came home and from our drive way we watched mom's plane take off. Then we had to get right to work. Cleaning and filling the swimming pool. We did get the cleaning done and we have started the filling process. The kids sure do like that filling part!

I made supper and when I sat it on the table, Gilbert asked what it was. I said that I wasn't sure and he said "Where did you get the recipe from?" I told him that I had not used a recipe and he laughed at me! Everyone ate it and asked for more!
After supper we made popcorn and watched a couple episodes of "I Love Lucy" while we played "High Ho the Cherry-O."
Lo spent the day in Accra with some missionary friends. She just boarded her plane bound for Washington D.C. Her flight left at 22:15. She should arrive in OKC at noon tomorrow. That is supper time here! The kids are already wanting to eat supper so that they can talk to mom on the phone.
Nantsew yie!
