W'apow mu e,

Yesterday was a holiday here.  Republic day.  That is why we did not have school.

We did have school today though!  We got up and did all of our regular morning chores, but something seemed to be missing.  MOM!  We did get everything done and we were not even late.  Thanks mom for the blueberry muffins in the fridge for breakfast.  Bonnie did say that I was a better hair brusher than mom because I did not pull her hair and hurt her head.  I tried to explain that this morning she did not have any tangles, but she said, "Nope, you are the more best brusher Dad!"  I just hope that for three weeks she does not get any tangles so that I don't fall from my lofty pedestal.

The kids went out the door for school just a few minutes early and then I heard a commotion.  The word was "SNAKE!"  I ran outside and there it was, a lizard!  The thing did kind of look like a snake though.  Does the word "SNAKE!" and a cup of coffee spilled on your shirt work the same as drinking several cups of coffee to get ones blood flowing in the morning?  That incident started a lively debate on the way to school.  Are lizards poisonous?  I said that I had no idea but I would find out.  There are a few examples of poisonous lizards, but the one in the pool this morning was not on the list

It sure was quiet around the house today!  I was able to get some studying done and get caught up on a few chores that have been piling up while I was running all over!

This evening the kids swam while I made supper and listened to the moment by moment reports about the offences of the other two kids.  It was quiet the show!  Dinner and a show anyone?

Is it legal to have school on the 4th of July?  I think we should take off just because we are AMERICANS!

Lo made it to OKC without any troubles.  She thought she was going to miss her plane from Chicago to OKC but there were two flights that left within five minutes of each other.  She is having a great time with her parents.  We talked to her several times this evening.
