Bonjour,
Joe is feeling better today. He had some things that he had to do this morning. He rested for a while this afternoon before he went to pick the kids up from school.
Today was the last day of school for this week. They don't have school tomorrow. The kids are excited about that.
Bonnie had to go see the principal today. She was staring off into space; the teacher thought maybe she was sick. I asked Bonnie what the principal said. She said, "He said, 'Bonnie, are you telling the trufe (truth)?" She said that she shook her head No. I asked her what she was supposed to be telling the truth about. She quietly said, "Not paying attention in class." She was just happy that she didn't have to get a spanking this time.
We got homework done tonight after supper so that we won't have to worry about it later. We are planning to leave for Ivory Coast in the morning if Joe is still feeling okay. It will just be a quick trip. We will come back on Saturday.
The power went off at 10:00 this morning and was off until 7:00 this evening. They are putting new power lines in again. We had the generator on all day. We were glad that the power came back on this evening. The fans move a lot faster with the electricity than they do with the generator!
