W'apow mu e,

Joe took the kids to school.  Then, Joe and Cholo had a bucket brigade going to clean out the water tank.  Cholo was inside handing the bucket up to Joe.  Then, Joe would go dump the bucket in the bush and bring it back to Cholo.  They did not find anything dead inside the tank; there were several inches of black sludge in the bottom.  They got it all cleaned up, and we are back in business.

I practiced some more hymns today.  I am trying to work on two new songs each day.   Then, I made a gooey butter cake.  The other day, I was so excited to find a cake mix that was on sale (about $5) that I splurged and bought it.  Today, I found out why it was on sale; it was full of weevils.  I picked them out and used it anyway.  The cake was yummy!

We had torrential rains this afternoon and again this evening.  The roads were terrible.

There was a parent/teacher meeting at the school tonight.  Martin watched the kids for us, and Joe and I went to the meeting.  We got there right on time, but it started late because not many parents were there yet.  It started raining again just as the meeting let out.  We had to take a different route home because the normal route was flooded.  The window kept fogging up.  It was very hard to see.  We made it home all in one piece.  Then, Joe took Martin home.  He said that they saw several wrecks and had several near misses.

Danny and Bonnie had both fallen asleep.  Gilbert wasn’t too far behind them.
