Bonjour,
Joe took the kids to school this morning.
I had a baking day with three ladies from the church. I was out of baking cocoa. So, I had asked one of the ladies to stop at the market and get some before she came. She had never seen it before. She called me because she was having trouble finding it. She asked me what it came in. I told her plastic; so, she was thinking a container and not a plastic bag. They call plastic bags sachets (pronounced like hatchet). She called back to say that she found it and that it was very bitter.
Today, we made pizza, pizza pockets, brownies, and snickerdoodles. Listening to them trying to say "snickerdoodle" was quite humorous. We had pizza and brownies for lunch. I poured iced tea for everyone. They wanted to know what it was. When we said "tea," they said that they call all drinks here "tea" whether it is coffee, tea, milk, etc. So, I showed them a tea bag and explained how we make tea.
Joe went down to replace the plug for the well pump. With the high voltage last week, the plug burned up.
The kids had a good day at school. Bonnie did not take a nap though; so, she was very cranky. The boys went swimming with Daddy, and Bonnie took a nap.
The power was off for several hours this afternoon, but it is back on now.
We heated up leftover pizza for supper. Bonnie helped me with the dishes. She was the rinser. The boys cleared the table, wiped the table, and swept the floor.
Bonnie helped me fold laundry after we finished with the dishes.
Yesterday, Joe found a new drink in town. It is called "Dr. Sammy." It is a Dr. Pepper imitation, and it is pretty good!
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
