Bonjour,

Danny woke up with a fever.  So, I stayed home with Danny and Bonnie.  Around 10:00 A.M., Danny's fever went down.  He started feeling better.  This evening, he was running a little bit of a temperature again, but it was back down before bed time.  We will see how he is doing in the morning to see if we need to get him tested for malaria or not.
Joe and Gilbert rode with the Posts to church.  Dan still isn't feeling well, but he preached anyway.  They had good services.
Tonight, we went over to the Posts.  We had a good time of fellowship with Jennifer and the boys.  Dan was sick in bed.
We thought things were beginning to look up in the country, but there was another setback today.  Gbagbo found his top military personnel talking to "Westerners" who were trying to persuade them to go with Ouattara.  Gbagbo is back on the war path.  Outtara, who was willing to negotiate with Gbagbo yesterday, is now saying that there will be no negotiations until Gbagbo admits defeat.  Outtara has taken over the Golf Hotel.  The hotel offices have become his "oval office."  He has closed the hotel, and all that he is doing is being done from that hotel.  It took five years to decide to have elections; it is beginning to look like it might take five years to decide the outcome of the elections.  Here we go again!  Please continue to pray.
I forgot to tell a story about Danny yesterday.  While I was going through some barrels, I found a couple bottles of bubbles.  So, I gave them to the kids to share.  Danny reminded me of the Dr. Seuss "B" book.  (Big – Big brown – Big brown bear – Big brown bear, beautiful baboon blowing bubbles – Big brown bear, beautiful baboon blowing bubbles biking backwards…BUMP black bug's banana boxes…)  He was blowing bubbles while running backward.  He and Gilbert collided.  Gilbert had a bit of a black eye this morning.  But, what "broke baby bird's balloon" was that Bonnie poured out the rest of Danny's bubbles.  He was just devastated.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
