Bonjour,
Danny had no fever this morning and has felt fine all day. (Except when it was time to start school, he thought he was still a little bit sick.) Joe took Dan Post to the doctor. Dan has Typhoid fever; they caught it pretty early on, but pray for his recovery.
Today, the Ivorian military, who is still backing Gbagbo, surrounded the Golf Hotel, and was at a stand off with the rebel army, who is backing Ouattara, Shots were fired into the air, but no one was killed. Ouattara has announced that he will take over on Thursday or die trying. So, it could get ugly. Please be in prayer about this situation.
We did school this morning. Danny was up to his normal tricks of wanting to circle everything on the page even if it wasn't supposed to be circled. Gilbert read two sentences today; he was so proud of himself. Bonnie colored for a little bit; then, she wanted to sit in my lap so that she could be the teacher.
I went through a couple more barrels today. I am still searching for my rugs. But, I found toys instead. The kids were so excited. The boys were reacquainted with many old friends. Bonnie claimed some things as hers too even though she doesn't remember any of those toys.
After lunch, Gilbert was playing over at the Posts' house. He came to report that he was the Post boys' dog, and they had been feeding him chips under the table.
Danny was trying to see if there was anything in his stocking yet. His stocking was hanging on a stocking holder. When he pulled on the stocking, the holder came with it and hit him right in the nose. So, his nose is a bit black and blue.
Bonnie was blowing bubbles into her cup today. I told her that she shouldn't blow bubbles. She said, "Well, my Grandpa does that. Grandpa wouldn't be sad at me." Then, she commenced to tell a large tale about Grandpa.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
