Bonjour,

Joe took the kids to school this morning.  Then, he came home and waited for the welder to show up.  He came with one helper about 10:00.  They started knocking holes in the cement walls to install the bars on the windows.  For some reason, I was thinking that they would just drill some holes and have nice little piles of debris.  Boy, was I ever wrong!  The whole house is covered in a thick layer of cement dust.  We thought we might have to sleep downstairs in the guest room tonight, but we were able to get it cleaned up enough to at least sleep.  They did not finish today.  So, there will be more mess tomorrow.  But, at least we will have bars on the windows and doors.
The power just went off in all of Takoradi.  I'll close for now to conserve battery.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
