Bonjour,

This morning, Joe called Brother Luther to see what we needed to do to get a water truck to come.  A truck has to come to fill up the tank.  The Luthers needed water too; so, he called the fire service to ask them to come today.  Joe waited around all day for them to come, and they never came.  Pray that they will come tomorrow so that we won’t run out of water.

Joe got busy on the laundry detail today.  The machine has to be filled manually.  So, he kept the machine going and hung the clothes out on the line while I did school with the boys.  Bonnie’s new thing is to say, “Teacher, what I can do for you now?”  She really wants to know what I want her to do next.  She has a cat coloring book that is her “school book.”  She has just about colored every page.  It’s not just a scribble here and there.  Every page is covered with color.  Danny said, “Mom, she doesn’t color very good.”  I told him that he didn’t color so well either when he was that age.

After school, the kids went to play with the Luther kids while I got lunch ready.  The other day, they left Bonnie on the hill.  So, we had to make a new rule.  They have to hold hands and stay together going up the hill.  If all three don’t want to go, then no one goes.  Bonnie calls the Luthers the “Wuthers.”  The whole time she is getting her shoes on, she says, “I’m going to the Wuthers.”

This afternoon, the kids and I took a nap.  I am feeling a little better today but still have a cold.  Bonnie and Danny seem to be on the mend as well.

After naps, the kids went back to play with the Luthers.  Joe walked up there as well.  I started on supper preparations.

The boys were “reading” to Daddy tonight.  Danny’s book just has letters and blends.  He said, “I got done faster than Gilbert.”  Gilbert was struggling with the pages that don’t have any pictures, but he made it through.  Bonnie had her coloring book out; she was “reading” it.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
