Bonjour,

The kids were all feeling better this morning.  They all went to school and had a good day.  Gilbert said that he did well on his spelling test.  Danny said that he had to go to the office today but that he wasn't the one in trouble.  Danny said that he got up to throw his trash away and another boy hit him and said that he was going to beat him.  So, they both went to the office.  Danny said that the principal asked him what happened.  He said, "I told him the story, and that other boy was in big trouble!"  Bonnie said that her whole class was good today; they got candy and a little toy.
A bug bit me on the hand last night.  This morning, both sides of my hand were swollen.  The swelling has gotten continually worse throughout the day.  After explaining the symptoms to a medic, he said that it sounded like cellulitis. We read about it and looked at some pictures, and that is exactly what my hand looks like.  I started the prescribed treatment this evening.  I have also been soaking my hand in ice cold salt water throughout the day.
Our electricity went off at 9:30 this morning and came back on at 4:30 this afternoon.  We had the generator running, but the fans run about half their normal speed with the generator.  By the time the power came back on, it was 92 degrees inside the house.
I worked on sorting some Sunday school materials.  Joe did some work on the computer.
Martin came over to visit this afternoon.  He went with Joe to pick the kids up from school.  Joe and Martin played football with the boys for a little while.  Then, Martin cut some coconuts down out of one of the trees in the yard.  We all tried coconut milk.  Joe and Martin were the only two who liked it.  They also gave some coconuts to some people passing by.
Gilbert wasn't feeling very well this evening.  He had an allergic reaction to the grass after playing football and had to take Benadryl.  He could barely stay awake.  Bonnie isn't back to 100% yet either, but she seems to be feeling a lot better than she did yesterday.  I started getting the cold today.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
