W'apow mu e,
Joe and Dan went to the hospital to visit Brother Blay this morning. They could see his bed but were not allowed to go back by him because it was not during visiting hours. He is still unresponsive and not doing well.
The children and I worked on deep cleaning the boys' room today. Gilbert was all ready to clean at first, but he quickly got tired of that. We sorted the toy box, cleaned out the closet, etc. He thought we could just leave the toy box and the closet. But, we got it all done.
The kids swam for a little bit while I got lunch ready.
Joe found some cherry pie filling at the store. So, he was ambitious and made a cherry pie this afternoon.

I made homemade lasagna noodles for the first time. They were pretty tasty. I'll have to roll them a little thinner next time.
The power went off this afternoon for about an hour and came back on. Everyone took their showers early in preparation for load shedding tonight. Thankfully the power stayed on tonight – no load shedding!
The kids were helping me with the dishes after supper tonight. Bonnie was rinsing. I told her to be careful with something. She picked it up by the handles and said, "I'll just pick it up by the hips, Mom."
Danny has been busy with various projects that require cutting and stapling. He was making hats tonight. When Daddy told him to pick up the trash on the floor, Danny was offended that his "hats" were called trash. Of course, there was plenty of trash on the floor along with the hats.
Nantsew yie!
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
