Bonjour,
Happy Veterans' Day! We would like to thank all those who have fought and are fighting for the freedom and safety of our country.
Joe took the kids to school this morning. The power went off at 7:30 and stayed off until 4:30. So, the welder was not able to do any work today.
Around 11:30, Joe and I went into town. LF stayed at the house. Joe took me to lunch. Then, we went grocery shopping.
The place that sells the chemicals for the pool has been out of chemicals. So, the kids have not been able to swim for a few days. Gilbert asked what special thing we could do for Soldier Day if we couldn't swim. I remembered that I had some water balloons. So, we took them outside to fill them up. Joe was the official filler. He managed to get all of us wet. We had a lot of fun. I think it was a close race between me and Gilbert for the wettest person. Then, the boys worked some more on burning the dead tree.
After supper, the kids played. Danny was the dog. Gilbert was talking to him in his Ghanaian voice. Bonnie was in on the action too.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
