Bonjour,
This morning, Joe and Gilbert went to Anyama. They dropped the vehicle
off at the mechanic. It is time to get the vehicle inspected again.
Please pray that it will pass the inspection on the first try. Last
year, it took five tries just because the people were being difficult.
Danny, Bonnie, and I played this morning. It was fun to watch Danny
trying to take care of Bonnie. Gilbert usually does that; since he
wasn't here, Danny took his place. If Bonnie cried at all, Danny would
say with a very concerned voice, "Mom, Bonnie's crying. Can you get
her, Mom? Can you get her?" We all three took a nap this afternoon.
Joe and Gilbert went to Abidjan to help Bob Mach, Lenell, Kristine, and
Tammy do some paperwork. They started at the US Embassy and then went
to several other offices downtown. They ate lunch at Akle.

Lenell has been looking for a vehicle. Dan had seen one that was for
sale that might be a possibility. So, they went to look at it today.
The people followed them to the mechanic in Anyama so that he could
check it out. He found that at one point the frame had been welded back
together; so, the frame was weak. He said that he wouldn't recommend
buying it. This made the men who had brought the vehicle angry. They
waited a little while and went back to the mechanic, thinking that Joe
had left. Joe was still there watching them work on our vehicle. The
men tried to pay the mechanic to tell us that it would be okay to
purchase the vehicle. Just as the mechanic was telling them that we
were his good clients and that he wasn't going to lie to us, Joe walked
around the corner. Those guys jumped in their vehicle and took off.
Joe said that Gilbert was very good today. I asked Gilbert what he
did. He said, "I was working with Daddy. I didn't play; we went to one
place; then, we went to someplace else, and someplace else, and
someplace else."
Lenell came over for supper tonight. We had a good time of fellowship.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
