Bonjour,

This morning, Bob Engelhart came over to see if Joe could take him to Abidjan to get money and to buy a car. We had planned to go get a few groceries today. So, I just sent a list with Joe since we didn’t know how long they would be gone.

Just as Joe got downtown, an oil hose on the vehicle blew. They waited for about an hour and a half for a mechanic to come. Joe said that if he would have had a knife and a screwdriver with him, he could have fixed it himself. But, he didn’t have either one. Then, they were back in business.

Bob traded money. Then, they had lunch and went to look for cars. Bob found one that he liked. Margie had ridden in with the Litsons. So, they went to meet them so that Margie could see the car. Margie liked the car, and they decided to get it.

Joe got home about 19:30. He was worn out. He is quite sore from lifting bricks yesterday.

The boys and I had a good day at home. Gilbert and Danny played for quite awhile. When Danny is trying to get something that Gilbert is playing with, Gilbert says, “Danny wants to hold Mama.”

The power went off this afternoon during naps. I checked the breaker outside, and it hadn’t flipped. But, I didn’t check the one inside. I just thought that the power was off. Joe was trying to call us and couldn’t get us. So, he called the Litsons and had Sarah come to check on us. She said that their power was on. So, I checked the breaker in the hallway, flipped the switch, and the power came back on. I had just started lighting candles because it was starting to get dark.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
