Bonjour,

We all went visiting with Joe this morning. I wanted to visit some of
the ladies in the church. We visited three ladies today. We did quite
a bit of walking, but we moved kind of slow with the boys. Joe said
that we did about half the walking that he normally does on a Saturday.
We had a good time.

Gilbert wanted to know who we were going to visit. Joe told him that we
were going to Nicole's house. Gilbert said, "Where is Uncle Cole?" He
was wondering why we hadn't seen him if he was here. Nicole's mother is
an invalid. She was so happy to see the baby and the boys.

We then went to visit Lady. She had been very sick, but she is doing
better now. It was good to see her.

We also visited Yvette. Her son is the one who Joe took to the hospital
a couple weeks ago when the taxis were on strike. He had malaria but is
doing better now too.

Romeo and Marcel made some other visits. They checked on the Kesse
children. Mr. Kesse is still in the hospital. He is still hiccuping,
and they have not found the cause.

We saw Lenell and Margie walking back toward the Anyama church. So, we
gave them a ride. Lenell rode home with us. The boys went with her to
see Precious while I got lunch ready. Then, everyone except Joe took a
nap. We didn't go on the walk this evening since we walked all
morning. Joe has been working in the office.

Danny was chasing Gilbert down the hallway tonight saying, "Fee, fi, fo,
fum." His vocabulary has really grown. He is saying whole sentences
now. The other morning, he woke up quite early. Joe said that he
couldn't get mad at him because Danny was sitting in the living room
praying. He squints with his eyes and says people's names. Then, he
says, "Amen!"

Please pray for Joe's uncle, Tom Stracener. He has been having a lot of
health problems lately. He had been feeling better the last couple
days. He passed out this morning. His heart stopped. His son, who was
visiting from Missouri, did CPR until the ambulance arrived. They took
him to the hospital in town there in San Augustine, TX, until they got
him stabilized. He was then taken by ambulance to a hospital in
Nacogdoches, TX; he is in ICU there. They were able to regulate his
heartbeat. He was without oxygen for a couple minutes; so, they are not
sure what damage has been done. They said that he is not brain dead.
They are putting a balloon in to help his heart so that it will not have
to work so hard.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
