W'apow mu e,

We had some excitement during breakfast this morning.  A shrew came darting into the dining area from the kitchen.  Joe had seen it last night and had set a mouse trap out, but it had not gone for the trap.  The chase was on!  It went up the curtain.  The kids kept an eye on it while Joe went to get a stick from outside.  It moved so fast.  It kept going up and down the curtain.  He finally knocked it off of the curtain, and it darted under the couch.  We moved the couch, and it headed back into the kitchen.  It went up the curtains in the kitchen and back down again.  Joe finally got it cornered under the cabinet and killed it.  Danny told Joe where it had gone.  So, Danny wanted to make sure that everyone knew that he had spotted it.

We went into town to check on the boys' school uniforms.  It took about an hour to get into town due to the traffic.  Because the power was off yesterday, the tailor had not been able to finish the uniforms.  He said that he should have them done tomorrow.  From there, we went to the school to see if they had the school supply lists.  They even had them typed up this time.  Then, we stopped at the Lebanese restaurant on the way home.  Joe ordered while the kids and I looked around in the upstairs store for a few minutes.  They usually have some cheap little toys in there; the kids each picked out something.

After naps, we went swimming.  Then, Joe grilled hamburgers for supper while I got the fixings ready.  Danny said, "Dad, those hamburgers were so good that I could growl at you."  I guess that means he really liked them.  : )

The kids helped me do dishes after supper.  Danny was so happy to find one that he could reject.  He thought that Mom never had rejects!
