I am feeling much better today after the allergic reaction to mosquito bites yesterday. I have just taken it easy.
Joe went to preach at the bank. Then, he checked the PO box and headed home.
The kids and I were doing some straightening and sorting in their bedroom this morning. I saw a small scorpion go underneath the toy box. I had the boys go get the cat. The cat went for the scorpion, and the scorpion stung her on the nose. Joe came in at that moment and killed the scorpion with a shoe. That scorpion was about an inch long.
After that excitement, Joe and the kids walked up to the Luthers’ house to check on the pool. The chemicals are all balanced now. We are just waiting to get the vacuum hose. They had the vacuum yesterday but not the hose.
After naps, the kids went swimming. Joe called me to go outside to do something. When I went out, I walked right past a giant scorpion and didn’t even see it. Joe came up on the porch just after that and found the scorpion on the door mat. I will be watching where I step a little more closely after seeing the scorpion. Joe killed it with a broom handle.
YUCK!
The cat is a good hunter, but I don’t think she is quite up to scorpions yet, especially gigantic ones!!
After supper, we had popcorn and watched a movie. The kids are brushing their teeth and are waiting for their bedtime story.
