Bonjour,

This morning, Joe went up to the church for a meeting. Max, Matt, Bob, and Joe all met with Lenell Smith to discuss what she will be doing when she comes back in February. She is going to work with the orphans. She will be finishing the second floor of an existing building for her apartment; so they got that all drawn out how she wants to have it. Joe will be in charge of the construction on that.

Joe got home just in time for lunch. Then, he headed in to Abidjan with Bob Engelhart to help him look for a vehicle. They got home a little after 7:00 this evening. They saw a lot of different vehicles and found a couple that might work. Bob is still thinking about it.

Gilbert has caught on to back rubs. Last night, I said that my back hurt. Gilbert climbed up next to me and said, “Rub a back, Mama?” Then, he rubbed my back. I told him “Thank you.” This morning, he was reading an animal book. Each animal has a place where you can touch to see what that animal feels like. He was touching the elephant’s ear saying, “Rub it.” Then, he said, “Thank you!” It was cute.

Danny is standing up unassisted now. He will probably start walking soon.

The boys and I played this morning. Then, we all took a nap this afternoon. When the Litsons got back from Bassam, we went for a walk. Then, Gilbert played in their yard until Joe got back from car shopping. I sat over there with the ladies and had a good time of fellowship.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
