Bonjour,

Joe left the house a little before 7:00 this morning. He met Dan in Abidjan. Then, they went to load the trailer. They had hoped to leave by 10:00, but they didn’t get off until 11:00.

Joe said that they didn’t have any trouble at the police checkpoints. He said that the police up that way were more friendly than the police here in the Abidjan area. As soon as they saw the “Mission Baptiste” sign on the car door, they would salute them and wave them through.

They didn’t have any vehicle trouble. They just had to go very slow because the trailer was really loaded down. They arrived in Boauke at 7:00 P.M.

After the trailer was unloaded, they went to find a motel for the night. I just talked to Joe. They had found a place to stay and were just going into a restaurant to eat. They were hungry!

Missions With the Consfords

Ghana Field Journal — Serving the Lord for Over 25 Years

These daily journal entries document the Consfords’ missionary life across Ivory Coast and Ghana. Over 1,630 entries capture the church planting, the hard days, the answered prayers, and the everyday reality of following God wherever He leads. Browse the full archive or join the Consfords as a prayer partner.

Please continue to pray for them as they travel back tomorrow.

Danny cried when Daddy left this morning. He wanted to go too. Gilbert wasn’t up yet. When he woke up, he wanted to know where Daddy was. When I told Gilbert that Daddy wouldn’t be home until tomorrow, he cried.

We all took a nap this afternoon. It started raining really hard; that ended the naps. After supper, the boys played with the Litson girls for awhile.

A demain,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny

P.S. If you have missed any of the daily emails or monthly prayer letters, we are now posting them to a website. You can read them by clicking here http://consford.blogless.org ! We hope this keeps every one up to date with the news from Ivory Coast.
