We did school this morning. Joe wasn't feeling very well this morning. He rested and took it easy. School went better today. Danny had to finish some pages today that he didn't do yesterday. He said, "That's lots of work, Mom." Gilbert's teacher was giving badges out today for good seatwork. We had to find the badges in the back of one of his books. He got one that said, "Gr-r-eat Work!" Then, Danny needed one too. I didn't have any safety pins. They wanted to wear them on their shirts. Gilbert said, "You can just staple it, Mom." Bonnie and I did some coloring while the boys did their work. Bonnie was happy to discover stickers in the middle of her coloring book.
We had a storm move in just after lunch. I quickly took the laundry off the line and brought it inside to rehang it. The power was off for a while. After naps, the Luthers played down here for a little bit.
Brother Luther brought a package to us this evening. It was from Joe's mom. There was a book in there that has a place to record on it. She had read the book for them on the recording. The kids kept talking to her and answering her questions just like she could hear them. There were some puzzles that we did right away too.
Joe will leave here about 5:00 tomorrow morning to meet up with Dan and then head to Ivory Coast.
The other night on the way home from church, Joe said that he hated cats. Bonnie said, "Daddy, don't ever say that again! We shouldn't hate!" She is such a hoot.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
