W'apow mu e,

Why!?!  On school days when we have to get up and be out of the driveway before 06:45 my kids have to be awakened by drastic measures, but on the days when we don't have to go anywhere, they are up before 05:30 going like they were killing snakes!  Have you ever seen anyone kill a snake?  They don't do it in slow motion and that is how my kids were scooting around the house this morning.

I made biscuits and gravy for breakfast.  Danny had it in his mind that he did not like gravy.  This morning, I convinced him that he should at least try the gravy because I made it different than mom does.  He tried a bite and four biscuits and and a quart of gravy later he announced that now he likes gravy!

We cleaned the house and then the kids played outside.  I worked on getting their school stuff ready for next week and tried to stay around the house today to keep from having a malaria relapse!

After lunch while the kids were taking a nap I worked on finishing my sermon for tomorrow.

I sent Dan to get more prepaid electric units for the church so that we wont run out of electricity during the service.  He went to the store and bought the units and then when he tried to put the units into our electric meter they were denied.  He went back to the store with the message that the meter gave him and they told him that we have the outdated meter and we have to get a new meter before we can have electricity.  Well, ain't that a fine kettle of fish!  Of course, the electric company can't come out on the week end to install the new meter and that means no electricity at church tomorrow!  Who ever hear of prepaid electricity anyway!

The kids got up from their nap and headed directly for that swimming pool!

After supper this evening I was telling the kids the story of Joshua and the Battle of Jericho and we had some great laughs during the story.  Danny has more questions than I have answers though!  He wanted to know why the bad guys din't just shoot the good guys while they were marching around the outside.  He said that if he were one of the bad guys he wouldn't just let them walk around trying to figure out a way to get him! Does anyone have an answer to that?
