Bonjour,

It has been a busy month for us.  We were in Ontario, Canada, at the end of June visiting with Joe's sister and her family.  From there, we headed to Oklahoma.  My parents were happy to get to spend some time with the grandchildren.

Joe took a trip to Pennsylvania.  While he was gone, Bonnie came down with chicken pox.  At the same time, Gilbert had pink eye, heat rash, and bronchitis; Danny had an ear infection and bronchitis.

When Joe got back from Pennsylvania, we had meetings in Kansas the next day.  The children were still sick.  My parents kept them and let me travel with Joe.  We were in two different churches that Sunday and then headed back to Oklahoma on Monday.

We were in Oklahoma City for the 26th Annual Youth Conference at WHBC.  It was 18 years ago at that youth conference that I surrendered to be a missionary.  It was fun to be around during that week.  I got to help my mom with the supper meal for all of the conference attenders.

Then, we headed to Arkansas to be in one of our supporting churches.  We got to meet the new pastor and had a good time there.

On Friday, July 24, I worked on getting our trailer packed for a week of meetings in Houston.  On Friday night, we discovered that Danny was coming down with chicken pox.  On Saturday, Bonnie started getting them again too.  So, Joe and Gilbert went to Houston for the week of meetings.  Gilbert was so excited to get to with Daddy all by himself.  They are having a great time.  They were in two different churches in the Houston area today.

Danny and Bonnie don't seem to be too miserable with the chicken pox.  Danny keeps saying, "I'm not sick."

We will be doing a lot of traveling in the next few months.  Please pray for safety in traveling and for good health.

Until next time,

Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
