Bonjour,
We headed to Bassam this morning. We stopped at the store on the way to
pick up ice cream for a birthday party for Becky Mach.
Joe and Dan went on to Bonoua. They started visiting in one of the
neighborhoods. They passed out about fifty John and Romans. They had
some good visits.
Jennifer had all of the Mach kids too. There was a houseful! Gilbert
had a great time! Danny had fun too as long as he knew that Mommy was
still there. He had to come find me every few minutes to make sure that
I hadn’t gone anywhere.
I helped Jennifer a little bit. Then, I played games with Marilyn and
Nathan. Nathan is supposed to get his cast on Friday. He is excited
about that. Then, he can use crutches and won’t have to be carried from
place to place.
We played Clue and Monopoly. After lunch, we went back to the Monopoly
game. We didn’t finish it because it was obvious that Nathan had won.

Bob and Becky Mach arrived. The birthday party had been a surprise to
her until she got there. Luc said, “We know it’s your birthdays, Mom
and Dad.” Then, Gilbert walked up to Becky and told her, “Happy
Birthday.” After Lenell and Tammy arrived, we had cake and ice cream.
The Posts have an empty lot across the street from their house where the
boys play ball. The boys wanted to play against the men in football.
After their football game, they played baseball too.
The ladies played some games inside the house and had a good time of
fellowship. Most of them hadn’t played Dutch Blitz before; so, Tammy
and I taught them how to play. Marilyn and Nathan caught on quickly.
It was after dark by the time we headed home. That drive is a bit more
stressful at night, but we made it home safely.
Both of the boys fell asleep in the car. They woke up momentarily when
we carried them inside, but they both went right back to sleep. I went
on to bed too. That’s why you didn’t receive an e-mail last night.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, and Danny
