Bonjour,

This morning, Joe left the house at 7:00 to go to Bonoua. We didn't go
with him today.

Joe and Dan went out to Bonoua. Paul, one of their new converts, went
visiting with them today. Bonoua is at the crossroads of five major
villages; they went to one of those villages today.

Joe ate lunch with the Posts and then headed back to Abidjan. We found
out yesterday that the International Driver's license is now only good
for 90 days after entering the country instead of one year. So, Joe
needs to get his Ivorian license before February 1. He had to go to the
US Embassy first to get his driver's license translated and notarized.
Then, he went to the Minister of Transport office to get permission to
exchange his Texas license for an Ivorian license. It will take a few
days to get the paperwork so that he can complete the process.

The boys and I played games this morning while Bonnie was taking a nap.
Then, the boys went over to the Engelharts' house until lunchtime.
Bonnie took another nap while the boys were over there; so, she didn't
take a nap when the boys took one this afternoon. This afternoon while
the boys were napping, I worked on cleaning out the refrigerator while
Bonnie played in her walker.

The boys wanted to go swimming after naps, but the water is too cold due
to harmattan. It is the time of year where there are dust storms in the
Sahara, and we get the fall out from that. The sky is a dusty brown
color. Normally, it is very cool at night (70 or lower), and it is hot
and dry in the daytime. However, it has been cool all day long for the
last couple of days.
