Bonjour,

We went into Abidjan this morning.  We went across the bridge to the bulk store and another grocery store.  The bridge is always filled with street vendors.  Today, there were a couple of vendors who were selling kites.  Gilbert gets so excited any time that he sees someone with a kite.  So, we got one for him. Gilbert was so excited about his kite that he wanted to use it right away.  Each time that we got out of the car, he asked if we could take the kite inside with us.  We told him that you don’t fly kites inside.

When we got home, Joe told Gilbert that he needed to take a nap.  First, Gilbert and Danny were in their beds playing peek-a-boo with each other.  Danny hit his head on the bed in the process, but he was laughing so hard that he didn’t even cry.  He has a big knot on his forehead.  Gilbert sat in his bed for an hour.  Then, he said, “Mom, I slept all night!  Can we play with the kite now?”

Joe took the boys outside and tried to fly the kite, but they weren’t too successful.  The wind was not cooperating with them.  Gilbert had fun anyway.

The boys both fell asleep very early tonight since they didn’t take a nap this afternoon.  We are hoping that they will sleep through the night.   : )

A demain,
