Bonjour!
We got our computer back today! When we first turned it on, it wasn’t working properly. Somehow, it had a host of viruses. Joe restored it to an earlier date, and it is working fine now. It is a blessing to have our computer back.
We came home Saturday afternoon after Joe’s trip to the border to get the car papers validated for another month. We will get a one-month visa extension here. Then, we will attempt to go back to Ivory Coast in one month’s time if all is well at the border. We will have one of the guys from the church in Anyama come to the border to meet us. That way, we can call him to make sure that everything is okay before we head to the border.
Church services went well yesterday. In junior church, Gilbert used a crayon for the first time. When the teacher gave him the crayon, he put it right in his mouth. He didn’t know what else he was supposed to do with it. So, I showed him what to do with it. Then, he didn’t want to stop coloring. He colored on both sides of his paper and then tried to color on other children’s papers who were near him. Another little boy took Gilbert’s crayon from him. Gilbert hit him in the nose and got his crayon back. I had to put a stop to that.

This morning, we went into town to run some errands. We had a package at the post office; so, we went to get that first. Gilbert got a toy. He was playing with it through the bars at the post office while the customs agent decided how much we had to pay to receive the package.
The grocery store has toys and appliances upstairs. We went up there for a few minutes. Gilbert found a tricycle. He got one of the workers to push him around on it. When she would stop, he would say, “Please, please.” Then, we went back downstairs, and he rode the motorcycle at the front of the store. It has a slot for coins, but they just keep hitting the button for Gilbert.
This evening, the power went off promptly at 6:00. That generator is such a blessing! Gilbert claps and says, “Yeah!!!” when the power comes back on.
