Bonjour,

Today is Gilbert's birthday.  He had requested biscuits and gravy for breakfast.  He helped me make the biscuits.  After we got the biscuits in the oven, Gilbert was ready to open his last present.  A lady in our home church had sent a watch for all three kids.  They were so excited.  They have been trying to tell me what time it is all day.  Bonnie just makes up numbers.  Danny tries to read what's there, and Gilbert gets it right most of the time.
We had a good day at church.  The kids led the songs in Sunday School.  I just helped turn pages when they needed help.
We sang Happy Birthday to Gilbert in church.  It was also a little girl's birthday; she came up front to stand by Gilbert.
I had twenty-two in my class today.  My helper was there, and everything went smoothly.  We talked about Esther today and made crowns for our project.
After church, Joe brought the kids and I home so that I could get lunch started.  He went with some of the church people to visit Brother Blay, a man in the church who had a stroke and is not able to get out at all.  His health is failing; he is getting weaker and is going blind.
After lunch, we took naps and headed back to church.  We had a good service this evening with fourteen in attendance.  After church, the kids were chasing some chickens which had wandered into the church yard.  They scared the hens and rooster away, but they caught a chick.  They were so excited.  Danny said, "It's the best day ever cause that's the first time I ever caught a chicken!"
We had cake and ice cream after supper.  Gilbert said that he was too full for either one.  He is not a big sweet eater.  Danny and Bonnie were ready for some though.
The well pump is not working properly.  Joe may have to pull it back out of the well tomorrow to find out what the problem is.  He was able to get a little water pumped before it quit working again.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
