Bonjour,
This morning, Joe called. Gilbert and Danny needed to talk to each
other to check up on each other. They had quite a conversation.
The doctor came in this morning and said that Danny would probably get
to go home this afternoon. He was going to come back about noon.
Lenell took me into Abidjan. Margie kept Gilbert and Bonnie. Danny was
happy to see Mommy. He wanted me to sit down on his bed. If I got up,
he wanted me to sit right back down. We stayed around awhile hoping
that the doctor might come. At 12:30, he still had not come. So,
Lenell and I left. We stopped to get some lunch and then headed home.
Gilbert and Bonnie did fine at Margie's house. Margie had the
missionaries over for lunch. They had fish and atchike (steamed manioc
root). Margie said that Gilbert really liked it and that he just kept
eating. One missionary family has a little boy; Gilbert had fun with
him. Gilbert was really missing Danny, his cohort in crime. Bonnie
wouldn't take a bottle, but she drank out of a cup and ate her baby food.

I made pizzas when I got home. Tonight after the church service, Lenell
is feeding the missionaries who are here for the missions conference. I
told her I would make a couple pizzas for her. I sent the pizzas with
Bob and Margie.
At 4:00, the doctor still hadn't come by. So, Joe went to talk to him.
He said that Danny could go home. They checked out about 17:30. They
stopped at a pharmacy to get Danny's medicine. He will continue taking
the antibiotic for a week.
Gilbert and Danny were so happy to see each other. They were calling
each other's names as soon as the vehicle hit the driveway. They gave
each other a big hug. Danny went from hugging Gilbert to giving the dog
a hug.
Danny is feeling much better than he was, but he is not back to normal
yet. He is supposed to eat starchy foods and drink lots of water for
the next couple days. Thank you for your continued prayers for him.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
