Bonjour,
We had a good day at church. The people seem to trickle in during Sunday school, but we usually have a good crowd by the time church starts.
I made extra copies of my picture today for my class, and we were back down to twenty-one today. Oh well, I guess it is better to have too many copies than not have enough. We talked about Daniel today. I had a lion and a man for the kids to color; when you fold it in half, it stands up. Gilbert and Danny were marching their Daniel and their lion all over the bench. Some of the tiny kids usually drop their paper on the floor when they are done with them. Danny checked to see if anyone was going to claim then and then asked if he could have the extras that he had found. I think he ended up with three Daniels and three lions.
We came home, had lunch, took naps, and got ready to head back to church. Everyone is finally starting to feel better. The kids still have coughs and a sniffle every now and then.
We had a good service this evening with twelve in attendance. Evans Benyah, who started a church in a town about thirty minutes away back in November, came to church tonight. He got up and gave a testimony. He said that he was discouraged this morning because no one had come to church. He said that five people showed up eventually. After he preached, three of them got saved. He was so excited.
Dan preached this evening. During supper, we were talking about the kids' behavior during church. Joe said that he didn't see any of them listening to the preacher. Gilbert said, "I was listening." Joe asked what Brother Dan preached about. Gilbert said, "Well, he talked about Abraham's 'bazoo.'" Joe and I got tickled; he meant "Abraham's bosom." Danny and Bonnie both told something that they heard him say. I guess they listened more than we thought they did. : )
After supper, the kids were playing in their bedroom. Gilbert came to get me to see the boat that they had made. They had all of their sheets and pillows on the floor. When I told him we would have to clean it up so that we could sweep tomorrow, he was just devastated. He asked, "Couldn't we just clean around it? We have been building that boat for forever." That boat building is quite a process!
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
