Bonjour,
Today was our family day. We got a new Top Secret Recipe book for
Christmas. We tried the IHOP Cinna-Stack for breakfast today. Joe made
the IHOP Harvest Grain pancakes while I made the cinnamon butter and the
icing. MMM! They tasted quite a bit like cinnamon rolls.
We headed in to Abidjan to pick up some more paperwork. Joe was
supposed to have a meeting about the visas at one office, but everyone
was in a meeting. We waited around awhile. Joe talked to another
American who had come in to pick up his visa and got some ideas about
what to do from him. He is going to go back another day to actually
talk to someone in the office.
We ate lunch at Akle and then headed home. We were following a big
truck that was piled high with flour sacks filled with cocoa. Just as
we were about to pass the truck, Joe slowed down because the load seemed
to be shifting. There was a trail of cocoa following the truck. Just
as we slowed down, whole sacks started falling off of the truck. Once
again, we were reminded that people are praying for us. We cannot thank
you enough for your faithful prayers for our safety.

After naps, Tammy called. She had been trying to get her wireless
router going all day. So, we all went out to Bingerville to help her
with that. Joe was able to get the router up and going. We also got to
meet Christine. She is a nurse who came to work with the Machs. She
just arrived about a week ago. Becky Mach invited us to stay for
supper. We had a good time of fellowship with the Machs, Tammy, and
Christine. The boys were so excited to get to play with Luc.
The boys stayed awake on the way home, but everyone was ready for bed
shortly after we got home. Even Bonnie went to sleep. We'll see how
long she stays down.
A demain,
Joe, Laura, Gilbert, Danny, and Bonnie
