Gilbert and Danny were playing in the sand pile outside. They were being “cookers.” Gilbert asked Danny to bring him a “rock” (otherwise known as a cement block) to use as his stove. Danny was flipping it end over end to get it to the proper place and accidentally flipped it over on Gilbert’s foot.
Gilbert told me that he thought he was going to be crippled for life. I told him that he wasn’t crippled but that it would hurt for a while. Bonnie brought him the stick horse to use as his crutch. Gilbert misplaced his ice pack. Bonnie said, “I’ll help you, Gilbert. Now, think about where you put it down.” (I wonder where she has heard that before!!)
